Hi, planning on going snorkelling (not kayaking) in a couple of weeks. Wondering if i need to wear reef shoes when out in the shallows? Then I guess I'd have to carry them whilst snorkelling? Any feedback on best Fitzroy Island snorkel sites much appreciated. Thanks, Deni

Best snorkeling on Fitzroy is around the point to the left of the cafe but shallow snorkeling is plentiful all the way along the beach on the right side of the pier. Please be careful not …
Best snorkeling on Fitzroy is around the point to the left of the cafe but shallow snorkeling is plentiful all the way along the beach on the right side of the pier. Please be careful not to stand on the coral. Much damage is obvious in shallow areas - very sad.
