A police campaign to combat the state’s worst youth offenders has become the state’s single biggest operation and churned through 140,000 officer hours and 1000 chopper hours last year.

As part of Operation Trinity, Victoria Police rosters an additional 70 officers each night, which includes Highway Patrol members, the Dog Squad, Public Order Response Team, and Air Wing.

“That stolen wagon was later located dumped in Robinson Road in Hawthorn, where with the assistance of the Air Wing, officers spotted the stolen silver Mercedes about 8 pm,” Victoria Police said.
