Heat a grill pan over medium heat. Slice each squash in half lengthwise. If the squash are quite fat, slice them into thirds, and if they are more than 6 inches long, half crosswise too.
"I love grilling winter squashes like butternut squash and acorn squash." To prep, cut them in half, scoop out the seeds, and brush on a little oil to keep them from sticking to the grill.
