The gas mask is a piece of equipment cut from Counter-Strike. The only hint of its possible appearance in the game are two HUD icons. Once purchased, its main function was to immunize its user from the effects of the CS grenade.

In Counter-Strike, the SAS wear black uniforms, gas masks, and kevlar vests. In Condition Zero and Source , they possess navy blue uniforms and black helmets. In Global Offensive , the SAS operatives originally wore blue or grey uniforms with black chest rigs, knee pads, and black boots.

You can only stop the effects of this gas from working on SWAT members (Players or Friendly AI) by equipping them with the Gas mask headgear. These effects include a severe reddening of your screen (not sure if I typed that right) and a small, yet noticeable reduction in walkspeed.

2022年1月5日 · Hey love the debate and discussion I'm just saying what the throwable item is called in game and it's CS gas. My whole team are wearing masks so we shouldn't be affected. But the AI are wearing Balaclavas at best, it's on the meth house raid level.

2024年4月25日 · CS gas also does not require a gas mask, since the effect is just a reduced movement speed and a red filter (and an annoying sound effect) it does not do any damage to the point it can be negative. gas mask is for drip only, not for CS.
