This is a list of gods and supernatural beings from the Aztec culture, its religion and mythology. Many of these deities are sourced from Codexes (such as the Florentine Codex ( Bernardino de Sahagún ), the Codex Borgia ( Stefano Borgia ), and the informants).

The Mexica/Aztec were said to be guided by their patron war-god Huitzilopochtli, meaning "Left-handed Hummingbird" or "Hummingbird from the South." At an island in Lake Texcoco , they saw an eagle , perched on a nopal cactus, holding a rattlesnake in its talons.
