2007年8月5日 · I have a chevy 350 Crate engine with about 3000 miles on it. Today when returning from a show I noticed a lot of blowby comming out of the breather. It still seems to be running fine.
What else can cause severe blowby besides bad rings?
2011年11月11日 · Yes, there is smoke coming from the oil filler tube and the road draft tube at the rear of the block-----BUT THERE IS ALSO SEVERE BLOWBY! Blowby doesn't come from bad valve guides. Blowby is a result of cylinder pressure getting into the crankcase.

Nearly every engine, especially street engines with some miles on them, will have some amount of blowby and for the most part it's pretty harmless. At least as long as the crankcase is properly vented.

2005年8月2日 · "On the spitting oil problem, it sounds like the engine has internal pressure due to blow by of the rings. I would try to do a thorough cleaning of the PCV system as it should be relieving this pressure. If you have the origninal engine it could mean that the internal "can" under the intake manifold is partially plugged.

The timing curve is very important so be sure the distributor is set up correctly.
