2016年11月15日 · Okay so I have a Lenovo touchscreen desktop and it came with Windows 10 of course, and for some reason I can't get it to recognize ANY blank dvds!!! I've tried to uninstall and re install the driver. I've gone to the command prompt screen and nothing, I've downloaded burners and the burn process would start and ultimately fail.

2022年8月23日 · On the View tab, choose Show Hidden Devices. Under DVD Device, click on Driver tab, first try Update Driver > Automatically. If that fails see if Roll Back is available. If not choose Uninstall, restart PC to reinstall the driver. Next right click Start button to open Disk Management, scroll down to find the DVD drive. Does it have a drive letter?

2011年9月14日 · When trying to burn a CD, and having a blank CD-R in the DVD drive, I get "Windows can't read the disc in Drive D". I have tried other discs and DVDs but it seems Windows does not recognise a blank disc. I have another DVD drive and the same is true here as well.

2019年4月4日 · The Hp desktop does read other cd's just not blank ones. The laptop shows an (E:) drive and the desktop shows a (D:) drive I don't know if that matters or not I've pretty much tried everything. It keeps telling me to insert a disk into the DVD tray but the blank CD-R is already in the tray. If anyone has any suggestions I appreciate any feedback,

2021年1月26日 · When I insert a blank DVD-RW, DVD+RW or DVD-R File Explorer says that there is no disc in the drive. However it will read a CD and a commercial DVD. The discs are not faulty since they are all read in my husband's computer without any problem. I have tried deleting the drive and reinserting to no avail. Have you any suggestions. Thanks

It acted like it was going to burn a disc, then choked on it, ejected it, and thereafter refused to format or work with any DVD. I tried a Memorex DVD-R 120 min/4.7 GB disc instead of Sony. Same result. I tried a Staples 700 MB CD-R. Same result. Help.

Since switching to Windows 10, only the laptop is still capable of playing DVDs - the two desktops, even though they downloaded the Windows DVD Player app, will not recognize a single DVD that we've put into them.
