That's all I had. All in all, Civ 6 made some great systems and mechanics that I hope continue into Civ 7, notably the Districts and Leader/Culture split. I'm looking forward to see what new systems Civ 7 comes up with and if it can solve some of the issues outlined here! Let me know what you all think as well, I'd love to hear it.

Civ 6 was terrible at release, buggy as hell and slow and crashy. Then it got stable, then once the DLC came out it finally got better than civ 5 and 4 (imho, know that's contentious). I think it was a similar pattern with 5. So I've learnt my lesson, they've taught me well, and I can wait till the second 'era' of civ 7 till I bother with it.
Am I basically buying the full civ game and the next 2 expansions …
2024年12月24日 · Civ VI and its myriad DLC -- along with abysmal pricing regime -- was the direct result. Civ VII is a continuation of this new Laydenite formula. It is now all about accessibility, FOMO, and selling DLC. It's all about bite-sized games, with wimpy NPCs that make the player feel good about their continued purchases.

2023年2月17日 · In my opinion, the failure of the worldbuilding was primarily in the factions: Firaxis clearly set out to make a "war faction," a "money faction," a "population faction," etc., and then tried to reverse engineer a connection to a real world culture, without doing or saying anything that might offend someone that their culture was portrayed as the bad guys.
