2024年5月31日 · Yep, that's how I've gone from Xperia 1 to the next gen Xperia 1. But since I'm on Verizon (and because of the changes in product dimensions and the screen), I think I'm going to be sticking with my Xperia 1 V.

As long as it still has the headphone jack, notchless display and ideally slightly cheaper than the 1 V (yes the VI should be brighter and has LTPO support) I'll possibly consider it. My last phone was 6.5" FHD, was ok, my current is a 6.7" 1344P Pixel 8 Pro and annoyingly I'm sensitive to it's 120 Hz PWM flickering.

Been lurking in this sub for a while, I recently smashed the screen on my ZenFone 8 so I've been looking for an upgrade. Eventually picked up the Xperia 1 VI for $1750 (AUD) which I thought seemed an ok price. It arrived today and my first impressions have been really good! Blows the ZF8 out of the water.

Coming from Xperia 1 V. Got the new Xperia 1 VI today. Sharing few quick snapshots. All taken in RAW. Weather was half cloudy half sunny. Personal impressions from photography point of view: Size: more comfortable compared to Xperia 1 V for typing and content viewing. Less comfortable for one hand usage and in the pocket. Obvious.

Did a system update, played with the phone for a bit and so far, it's fantastic! I was also very surprised that the dimensions of the 1 VI's(162 x 74 x 8.2 mm - 6.38 x 2.91 x 0.32 in) are very similar to my XZ Premium(156 x 77 x 7.9 mm - 6.14 x 3.03 x 0.31 in), so the transition felt very natural in my hand.
